While some people prefer a high-maintenance neatly-manicured lawn
and herbaceous borders, there is a growing appreciation of what are
called 'natural' gardens. This style pioneered in Europe, lends its self
particularly well to the USA, reflecting the wide open prairie.

Through spending time in the south western states, Edwin grew to love
the native grasses, perennials and broad leaved evergreen shrubs.
Using these, his gardens are of interest throughout the year, providing
color and character even in the winter months. These perennials will
also appear year after year, eliminating the need for annual filler
plants.

His design techniques utilize freer groupings than that of the traditional
herbaceous border and are often influenced by the natural habitat.










A new series of photographs were released February 2011 and

installed and introduce restoration and conservation projects he has
